Curved roofline and glass lobby of Akshaya Hotels & Resorts

Designed around a courtyard.

Akshaya Hotels & Resorts was planned as an inward-facing stay. The sweeping curved roof at the entrance frames a tall glass lobby, and behind it the rooms step around a central pool, each with its own planted balcony.

The result is a resort where you hear water before traffic, and where mornings begin with soft light across the lawn instead of a street view.

We are in Bapatla, a coastal town in Andhra Pradesh known for its centuries-old temple and its closeness to the Bay of Bengal. Our aim is simple: make it easy to enjoy both.
